Improved efficiency
ChatGPT is a sophisticated Language Model that is capable of comprehending inquiries or cues in a typical manner and answering them with a human-like demeanor. This model can effectively handle various linguistic undertakings, including information retrieval and composition of customized content in your preferred style.
Within Slack, its functionality includes the ability to summarize discussions, assist with research, and compose fresh messages, all aimed at conserving valuable time.
The announcement emphasized that privacy will be upheld, and ChatGPT will not utilize any data accessible through Slack to train itself. Additionally, it was highlighted that OpenAI employed the Slack platform’s SDKs and development tools to guarantee that the application is secure and scalable from its inception.
OpenAI is known to use Slack extensively and has over 170 Slack Connect channels to directly communicate with its customers. Additionally, OpenAI relies on Slack Huddles, which are essential to their customer communication strategy.
The company has been piloting the ChatGPT app on their own Slack instance to connect with customers directly through their sales, service, and engineering teams.
Noah Desai Weiss, Slack’s CPO, stated that the ChatGPT app for Slack seamlessly incorporates OpenAI’s state-of-the-art large language models into Slack’s conversational interface.
According to claims, the integration will empower customers by enabling them to access the collective knowledge of their organization’s channel archives and gain new capabilities.
As Microsoft and other companies seek to exploit the potential of chatbots, the recent announcement underscores their increasing interest in this technology. Microsoft, one of OpenAI’s major investors, has been incorporating OpenAI’s models into various products, including Bing search engine, Edge web browser, and the entire Dynamics 365 business suite.
